How YOU can help!
HART cannot do this alone.  HART is staffed by an all volunteer force and funded by public donations.  If you would like to become a part of our team, there are several ways you can help.

Be a foster parent!
We depend on foster homes to care for the animals we rescue, so the more homes we have the more we can rescue.  If you are interested in fostering either dogs or cats (or both!) we want to hear from you.  HART provides the medical care needed by the animals (tests, vaccinations, spay/neuter) as well as food.  The foster parent's job is to provide a loving temporary home for the pet and to transport it to an AAP event a minimum of twice a month to display for adoption.  If the pet is not adopted, the foster parent will need to take it back home until the next event and to keep it until it is adopted.  Fosters can decide what locations will be more convenient for them to take the animal to, and will be contacted regularly by a coordinator to make sure any questions are answered and that plans are made the display the pet.

It takes a special person to become a foster parent for these animals.  If you are interested in becoming a foster , please fill out Foster application form.  If you have any questions, please contact us.
